The Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of about 900 documents, including texts from the Bible, discovered in the middle of the 20th Century in eleven caves and around ancient ruins near the Dead Sea in Israel.  The texts are of great historical significance in that they contain the oldest known surviving copies of Biblical and extra-Biblical documents.  The scrolls bring heavy proof to the field of textual criticism and how accurately the Bible has been transcribed over time.

We in the Midwest US have a great honor and treat this year to have the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit hosted in the Twin Cities at the Science Museum of Minnesota.
